Really quite simple
I fitted mine myself (Supawinch 5000). They are a piece of cake really....couple of bolt holes. I made mine removable so I can put it in the car once launched...comes off in a few seconds. Heard a few stories about them being missing when guys got back to the ramp. The only thing I had to get someone to do was for an auto electrician to fit the anderson plug at the back of the cruiser for power to the winch.

if you are a bit of a handy man
If you can get access to a welder winches are pretty easy to make using a starter motor and a flywheel from a car. I made my own in a day and it uses n old falcon starter motor and the flywheel and will pull a 6 metre quinine out of the water and onto the trailer in 17 seconds from whoa to go to whoa all it cost me was a slab for the starter and flywheel
