Faulty Toyota Landcruisers
I realise this is a fishing site but i think this subject is related given the number of members who use four wheel drive vehicles. I am posting a warning in regard to faulty 4WD vehicles, paticulary late model Toyota Landcruiser station wagons. There are several obvious faults with these vehicles, namely
1. Jammed accelerators which causes them to travel faster than other vehicles in the same traffic flow.
2. Excessive steering pull which which prevents them from travelling in other than the right hand lane.
3. Poor brakes that cause them to travel right up your ass.
4. Faulty indicators - you rarely see them work.
While this is not solely confined to Landcruisers - some Nissan Patrols of older vintage display similar faults, it is far more prevalent in Cruisers - in paticular the the silver one with a Recfish West sticker and Busselton plates who tailgated me yet again this morning from Ludlow Hithergreen Road to Capel. Perhaps a Jimny would help.

He's not alone
there are a few regular offenders between Busso and Bunbury each morning - the Piancentini service ute and the John Holland service truck are a real pair of tailgaters. - and i had a bloody Patrol ute Feral but the company made take a Pathfinder and pass the ute on for towing exys - you would not want a pushbike shunting a Pathfinder.

Advantage of automatics
Hahahahaha.... that reminds me of this morning on the Tonkin Hwy.
that thought he could manoeuvre between a truck and me as the lights changed.
Right foot on the accelerator pedal and a quick jab on the brake pedal with the lefty..... Just wish I had a camera focused on the mirror for a "Canon Moment" of the young P Platers face

wipers
I have one of my windscreen washers pointing just a little too high and if someone tailgates me I just give the washers a run and it squirts right back and then they put their wipers on and it's not usually enough water to do any good but smear their windscreen, they soon back off after a couple of squirts.

Tail gating
Couple of years back was driving my Nissan wagon to work one morning and a motor bike was right up behind me with lights on high beam, slow down, speed up ,put foot on brakes,he was sticking in there out of the cold [about 4deg and 5 in the morning] untill I put the rear window washer on.Not to happy with that.took off like a scalded cat,he certainly got the message

Must say
Bob & I just come from a drive down to Mandurah (God its grown) and the people that don't sit on the speed limit astonishs me, do 60 in 80 klm zone or 80klms and pass you doing 100klms on the phone. Saw a bus tailgate a little car, I couldn't believe that one.

Good work Mav
Top[ idea. But maybe something which stinks like tuna oil, or perhaps brake fluid. Sorry being nasty now.
Cheers Mick
