I was told several times as a young fella - you had to be careful that you didn't pick the poisonous ones, never went picking for that reason. Are the poisnous ones generally speaking , where others are growing and how do you know what's what?
If they are white underneath don't eat em! I've been picking field ones for years! If they looks like the ones on my dash you'll be right if they are pink underneath they are immature but still good
As a kid went mushrooming.
Was always told it had to be brown underneath, you could peel the skin and the stalk had a skirt(where the hood was joined to the stalk before it opened). Good feed there.
