First Dhui on Jig

Nailed my first Dhui on a jig over the Christmas holidays. I was pretty stoked even though he was only small.

Yeah it was a rough start,
Yeah it was a rough start, first i got sharked and lost a jig and 300yards of braid so I was pretty stoked once this one came up.

bugger about the sharking, but good work on cracking the first dhuie on jig.
Once you've gotten a couple they become much easier (except for 'those' days)
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

The first fish is allways the hardest, I'm sure there will be plenty more including some big dhuies in the near future. Stick at it, there will be lots of highs and lows in your Demersal jigging future. I once caught 2 20kg dhuies on jigs in 2 drifts but then never caught a single fish for three trips after that, frustrating but worth it when it all comes together
