Thought i'd better post a pick of my eldest boy's first Tailor. He's 9 years old and caught it on a 7" spin rod at Floreat beach a few weeks ago. Was a lot more excited than picture would suggest. 50 cm. Will post one of mine when i catch one bigger...

Got to be happy with that one for your first
Got to be happy with that one for your first tailor!! My first was would have been about a 15cm model, caught off the Palm Beach jetty when I was about your boys age. Gone on to much bigger and better since though My best to date is just over 5kg, caught at Wagoe.

good to see the young bloke so interested in the fin placement of a taylor.maybe a marine biologist in the future . great to see the kids getting out there and giving it a bash, well done on his first and at 50cm not a bad one either.

Marine Biologist
Marine biologist for sure. His biggest hero at the moment is Jeremy Wade.
Wagoe is one of the many places he is planning for us to fish. Hopefully lots more big ones for us.
