Never camped at steep mate,
Never camped at steep mate, but I'd be taking sand pegs for sure. It can get pretty windy so make sure you have a decent tent too.

Take the sand pegs
As you say the camps are right on the beach or just behind the small first dune. If the wind comes up (Although should be good in may)you will be glad you have them. We just use the longer plastic sand ones and haven't had an issue yet.

No probs.
Sand pegs will be fine, but use a few of them.
Launching a tinnie is easy, the beach is firm but shallow.
Drag it up the beach & fix it with an anchor.
There are pine poles along there that you can wrap a rope around.
Head out to the Fault line, usually pick up good Baldies there.
Just make sure your trailer is in good condition, the road in can get pretty corrugated & shake the bejesus outta everything.
Thats before you hit the sand tracks, for them you have to make sure everything is tied down & secured in the boat.
Can get a little lumpy in there & you tend to concentrate on getting through it more than how high the trailer is bouncing. Haha
Enjoy, its a great trip.

If you do head around to the fault line with the tinnies, watch out for us cliff fishos, If there's guys fishing and you come in too close, or look line your gonna cut off someone's balloon line. Be prepared to get abused and have stuff thrown at you :)
