fish ID

I will probably make myself look stupid asking this because it will turn out to be obvious haha but i know the second one is a type of cod or something but the first one i have no clue but caught millions of them, so some identification would be helpful.

They were both caught off broome jetty in July this year.

Colourerful 1 is a fusiler i think and the other is a honeycomb cod, some fish mongers sell it as spotted cod.

Your picture isn't very good

Your picture isn't very good to get a positive ID but from what I can see I'm pretty sure it's a Rainbow Monocle-Bream. See this link http://www.amonline.net.au/fishes/fishfacts/fish/smonogramma.htm

The top one is a hussar

Tue, 2009-01-20 22:04

The top one is a hussar different from spanish flag because of light blue lines on face.

Bottom one is  a wire netting cod(NT nickname) or a hexagon rock cod.

Thats from the good book,(marine fishes of tropical australia and SE Asia)

Amen
