caught this in exmouth. 240m/270 all so got sum nice rubys with it. tasted amazing!!

Not a jobfish/goldband, mouth is all wrong with blubbery lips and body shape. I'm going with Antonius, tang snapper.

 Yer its definatley not a gold band. A mate was fishing my ground a few weeks back an got 4 of them + rubys.

I'll go with the consensus view - Tang Snapper Lipocheilus carnolabrum.  Looks a bit odd with the mouth open so much.
