Fish id

Any ideas? came from 110m off rotto. Looks similar to a ling cod in my eyes but don't think we get them here. Thanks guys

 ...but is actually a beardie. Caught one years ago fishing at night on the FFB off Mandurah. Also had to post on here to find out what it was!

Can't tell from the pic...did it have a couple of "whiskers" hanging below the lower jaw?

Thought the same myself as it was dead as a doornail anyway, after a few searches it looks to be edible but not too flash as it's recommended to smoke them. That is of course if we have the right fish
