Submitted by Almopickle on Sat, 2009-05-09 19:26
I'm sailing down to Port Geograph to spend a weeks sailing, i intend to do as much fishing as possible, i will be sailing between cape naturelist and port geogpaph. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to where to fish, how to fish (techniques) and what for. Any help would be very much appreciated!

bait rig
grab a couple o bait rigs. get the jigging kind which have little pink plastic prawns on each hook. sinker on one end, troll the rig at sailing speed and you'll get a feed o herring no dramas. also salmon around there. sometimes they are a bit further out and you'll get em 1-3km off shore. use a smiling jack minnow from either servo or Damos sports store. whacko la diddly o. have a blast
