fishing the narrows

how's the narrows been fishing lately. was thinking of doing a hell late one on sat night. would it be worth it. would like to catch tailor and see if we can get luky with a mulla. or would closer to freo be better

I've been stopping there for an hour or two intermittently over the last few weeks...been really quiet. Thought the choppers would be firing up now...one of the blokes I spoke to last week put the blame on the algae.
Last Saturday night fished it on a rising tide for a while (lures) - not a hit. Didn't even catch a blowy.

I fished there on saturday
I fished there on saturday arvo/night.
Between 5 of us we managed one flat head. I also caught a couple small bony herring? on my vibes.
I've put it out there, I will never fish the Narrows ever again. Copious amount of rubbish in the water, huge amount of people being fools on their boats in the area and to top it off we got there nice and early to claim a decent spot. Others don't seem to care they will set up 1m to the side of you or imbetween you and your mates.
My new tub couldn't come at a better time.
