occassionally it gets bogged down by sheer volume and it may timeout and go slow.. however it relaly is circumstancial to how many people are posting, reading, logging in, etc etc

patience is usually the best key to combat this :)

yeah i only noticed it happens occasionally
must just be server overloading because right now it is fine

I have niticed it slow for a while now.
Same at work as well as at home.

Anyone noticing the speed difference now? Changed a few things.

heaps better now Adam . i only found it slow when there was heaps of serch bots going e.g. 40 users and 240 guests . (i gather some of the 240odd guests are bots ??)

Yep, certainly are, soon as the google bots come through they slow it down. I've removed the side banners as I think they take up too much memory with having to load the small jpeg files. If I notice it starting to slow down again I will upgrade to a faster hosting service, only problem is that it may result in a day or two of the site being down.
