Fitting Lowrance fuel flow meter

Hi People.

I have an EP60R fuel flow meter to add to my HDS9.

Just been reading the fitting instructions.They state to fit the sensor as close to the fuel tank as practical.They also go on to state a fuel filter MUST be fitted between the sensor and the tank.

I believe the BEST place to mount this is downstream of my filter/water seperator on the rear bulkhead.I can secure it there to prevent vibration.

I dont like the idea of a fuel filter below the deck where the tank is.

Anybody else running these fuel flow sensors???? How did you go about instalation????

 I have done a couple between the filter and the motor with no problems.I would not put it before the filter as these types of sensor only need a tiny bit of crap to stop the impellor spinning.From memory I think they need to be mounted vertically.
