There was a show on tv, showing guys catching flatties in the Swan river. They were using prawnstar lures, and slowly working them into shore! Havnt fished the swan, but maybe find some flats up around the mosmans area.

Give the hard bodys a go the blowies seem to destroy any thing else halcos in the 50mm range work well the only thing yo gotta worry about is casting into the southerlies, good luck

Try east of the traffic bridge in Freo
There are some nice sandflats there that produce flathead.
