Flathead Fishing Swan and Canning Rivers

 Hi guys I am a regular fisherman from the swan and only started last year. I need some help aout flathead as have only ever caught one but spooked countless fish at my feet, I do not know what I am doing wrong so would appreciate it if I could have some tips. Like what are the go to lures atm I fish around canning bridge, salter point and mt henry bridge, where are the best spots for flatties, what is the best time of day, do tides matter. Cheers.

 All shallow flats in the Swan/Canning can hold them at different times.

Cover ground, as much as possible but look for areas where tide/current is pushing into.

Having said that it's been a terrible year for them this year. Hardly any about and there should be everywhere about now.

It may not be you just a crap year.
