FNQ charter

Heading to Cairns & Port Douglas with the family in March. Keen to do a charter one day and wondering if that's a good time to chase barra or maybe go offshore? I've done both before but at other times of the year.

Keen to hear any ideas and also any suggestions for operators.

I was wondering if you'd chime in Chris! I had forgotten you moved to Innisfail. Doesn't that battle it out with Tully as the wettest town in Australia? I lived in Cairns for a year and I remember heading down there for a party one time and it just bucketed down!

Yep, it's a wee bit wetter than Carnarvon over here ( or any other town in Australia for that matter ) Let me know closer to when you're due to come over and we'll see if a trip out to the reef can be organized.

Thanks mate. Good to know it's peak time. Whenever I do a charter at a marginal time of year we seem to miss out.

dont forget the daintree mudcrabs  I reckon they the best in Oz

the trip up from cairns to daintre is possibly some of the most scenic in the country - esepcially good on a  hi power m/bike  ;p

 Thanks Shark. I love that

Thanks Shark. I love that country and have spent a lot of time in FNQ. I've never done it on a motorbike but did the Cairns to Port Douglas trip as a passnger in a Porsche 911 once. That was fun!

I'll see what the kids (young adults) want to do but I loved barra fishing on the Daintree when I did it.
