I usually look at both Seabreeze and Willy weather (Garden Island)
Is it just me or does it seem recently the forecasts have been really off
Yesterday was supposed to be windy, but looking at the graphs for Garden Island it stayed nice and low and you could've had a very relaxing day out
Last night it was supposed to blow but was pleasant instead

Always different
Both sea breeze and willy weather are always different. If you look at one and make a decision to go off that it is usually the wrong one and vice versa. Then to make it even more interesting you look at BOM and that will tell you something different as well.

Forecasting gets hard when
Forecasting gets hard when there is a trough sitting on the coast. On the eastern side of the trough, we will have easterlys and hot weather. on the western side it is cooler moist weather. Right in the middle is humid shit where the thunderstorms come from.
Whilst the trough is sitting where it is, we can get relatively isolated seabreezes which is what we got yesterday.

Under the trough line, yes,
Under the trough line, yes, but it may be 100km out and move in throughout the day

Well the hell! I'm up the coast now with a forecast 20kn on Seabreeze, lucky if it's 15 at 8.45. Very mild and hardly any swell hitting the beach. Might jag a day tomorrow ;)

At Rotto at 8.30am so go figure - out my window in the city still strong east - flag straight out on the river !
