Right at the top of my wish
Right at the top of my wish list too. Can get a solid older one for a reasonable price still. Alot of boat for the money.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Awsum boats in the water, not too bad to run either, ours has a 300 suzuki and used 80 litres to do 58 nautical miles saturday. Cruised at 4200 revs and 27 knots . Would have loved a pair of 200`s or 225`s but you gotta stop spending sometime . .

Yes, the quoting was a little unclear, I meant that your boat was based on the 233, not the 243L in the pics.

formula
The 243 L hull is not a formula 233 it has 3 strakes formula has 2 strakes formula also has convex chines and aft wedges very different hull though were both built by haines hunter a773 l is the same as a formula with 3 feet in the bow and a planing plank yes they are kings of the sea and the 243 l not too shaby either Paul at Northshore Boats has a mould from a formula with modifications check their website.

Agree with Nico, that is not
Agree with Nico, that is not a 233 hull. Paul now has the Henderson moulds which were pulled off a 233.

that 243L
is nowhere near as heavy as the 233 formula - from memory is about 400 - 500kg lighter. The 233 was/is a tank......

how do you get 4000lb for the 243L?
Its listed as 1280 kgs / 2821.92 pounds dry weight.
From memory the 233 formula (the edencraft ones) was 1600 or 1800kg dry weight (3500 - 4000lb). It was built very heavy.

formula
Marble i agree the formula hull is nicer has the shear line plus a bit of reverse up front if i had the coin i would buy the mould off paul cause he isnt doing anything with it at the moment. I reckon a duel side console like grady white and trophys new boat would be awesome with that hull.

Hi Nico if you have a spare moment sometime and you don't mind could I get a scanned copy of the original Haines 243L brochure you got. I have an original mid 80's 243L that im using and doing up at the same time here in s/coast qld. An original brochure would be gold!
