Wind tides and work lined up to get a chance for a beach bash. Ended up with a few average size queenies which will make great fish cakes. Had a good fight on for half hour or so which turned out to be a massive shovel nose of around 8 foot also got my limit of decent size whiting. Great way to spend a few hours

What do you use for bait/plastics etc.
I use red gulp worms cut in half and find them a killer in Denham. Don't get bitten off often and red DOES seem to attract them. Old timer bait fishing used red beads on top of the hook.
Tried every luse in my arsenal ( for Peel I have about 30! I think lures catch more fisherman than fish - ahh that ones such a pretty lure- got to have it!!! LOL) up in Denham and unlike Peel Harvey buggers aren't interested.

I just use either squid or occy , occy holds on better then the small whiting get used as live bait for the bigger fish.
Tried the lures a bit for fun , only caught a few
