Gas struts
Submitted by meglodon on Mon, 2016-04-11 00:06
Can any body help me, I'm trying to locate a retailer of gas/air struts, I have a set of Nauticus fixed trim tabs fitted to my boat and I have just found that 1 of the struts that applies pressure to the tab is seized up.
The strut which applies tension to the trim tab is quite small and I have not been able to find a retailer who holds such short struts. The strut is 15 centremetres long with a 15cm body (or there abouts) and the shaft from the cylinder extends approx. 9cm and is about 6mm in diam.
If anyone can tell me of a retailer of struts who carries a good range it would be much appreciated.

I get my struts from uesint.com/shop/category/gas-springs/ in Malaga.
However i'm not sure if they have quite the product you are looking for .

https://www.strutspecialists

These are the guys to go to, they have a massive range and you can change the ends to suit what you have. Located in Ossy park and they deliver metro for around $7. I get all my odd struts here but as mentiond IRS in Carlisle have a smaller range.
You will need to find out what NM pressure rating the strut is set to.

I've used strut specialists
I've used strut specialists for stainless parts before. No dramas. Know their stuff.
