Geraldton Fishing

Thought I'd start a post for Geraldton area as there doesn't appear to be much written up here.Plenty of herring around Pages beach of late.Looking forward to end of ban to chase some Demersals, will be taking a few live herring out to start with and see what else we can pick up, (maybe some Mackies).Anyone been picking them up yet.
Does anyone up here do much late arvo/night fishing in the boat i.e. anchoring up and burleying. If so what techniques do you employ and what results do you have.
Also does anyone have any luck chasing LARGE whiting in deeper water out of Geraldton.

macks
seen a pair of 10-15kg spaniards few weeks back but didnt have the gun handy. went out mid last week and put a solid session in burlying for them out the back of pensioners in 16m. no macks but got a visit by a 10-12ft tiger so wasnt a wasted day... got to shoot plenty of demersals with the camera - large groper trout and the odd dhu... cant wait til the ban ends!

Dont catch any whiting out deep but find they are outstanding bait for dhies and other bottom species out from Gero

North of Dummond offshore
Hi to all Geraldton fishos.
Have just got a boat all set up and have two craypots in the drink soaking up. To the North of Drummonds there are acres of reef and I'll be putting my pots up there in a few days. Can someone please PM me with at least one set of co-ords to get me started on some good reef fishing? or is it just a matter of drifting around until you hit a spot.

Thanks Tangles. Was hoping for somewhere out of Drummonds as I live out there but will give the Lighthouse a go anyway.
