Was great to get out for a fish yesterday, very wet offshore and not so great with no protection against the elements in my new boat, third world problem, lots of whales, found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, ended up with a great bag, my decke Eric hooked the fish with the big tail and I have never seen a spool empty so fast,

Well done. Nice bag of goodies t here. As far as hooking the whale goes , it wouldn't even have known it had hooked you . Tighten the drag h oils the spool and hang on

It's a crazy feeling when you are concentrating on the bite and you hear the whales blowing right behind you, looked around and they were only 10 metres from the boat, certainly makes my heart rate go up to another level, I suppose that's why I like fishing so much, you never know what can happen next on the big blue.
