Good marine engine & leg re builders???

I'm thinking of pulling out my donk and leg in the new year after Rotto Chrissie break and doing a rebuild.

Does anyone have a good ref on anyone that can do a good rebuild on a big block V8 Mercruiser and Bravo 1 leg ...

and who does not charge an amr & a leg!!!!

looking at rings, bearings, seals, head gasket and valve grind probally. Think pistons and bore still good. Water pump is new.

Leg would be knuckle universal joint and bearings, plus lower leg seals and bearings.

Boat is at Freo Boat Park, so can be on a hard stand to lift out motor?

cheers

Tony

Hi Tony not sure about

Hi Tony not sure about pricing for a re-build,but we originally got our new 140 merc inboard/ outboard installed by Hi Tech Marine in Morley. These guys specialize in merc's and are really professional, couldnt fault anything when they did the complete engine swap , plus controls panels etc. Pretty sure they do re-builds and re-cons and everything be worth giving them a call and getting a quote. Only problem might be is the timing I think you might find they will be flat out . Hope this helps.

looks more and more like I'm going to bring in a new leg and spares kit for the V8 and do the rebuild myself on the motor.

just waiting for The Boat Business to call back, Troy was driving when I called him. Lets see what he can do for me, as he works in the FBL facility quite often.
