Go to Bunnings, get a length of 8mm Aluminium tube, crush one end in a vice, drill a hole in it, and there is your gopole for $4.00

Bunnings bru. White mop

Fri, 2013-09-06 20:18

Bunnings bru. White mop handle. Two 25mm plastic end caps. Super glue them on. Then use the bicycle handle bar mount for the go pro.

Thats what I did. Even floats with the camera on. The telescopic jobs you can buy are shit, you can over extend them easy, they don't have stops at full extension. I looked at the hiking ones in bcf and thought they were junk.

I have made most of my mounts from aluminium angle picked up at bunnings. The Gopro mounts are generally three male forms, but with 3 or 4mm aluminium you can just go inside the two male forks on the camera and bolt straight through. May look agricultural, but it works.
