Just wondering whos using them, how they go and how the assist hook set up goes thinking of adding a few to the kit for a kalbarri trip coming up target tailor and pelagics

I've got a few in the arsenal and of various sizes (including 4 oz for tuna at quobba), however I haven't found them very productive at all and are not amongst my go to lures for anything.  Caught a few shark macks nothing spesh. There's plenty of hype about them on other media outlets but notably from fishos who are 'sponsored' to peddle assassin gear so not particularly unbiased or objective sources?! All my biggest tailor have fallen to duel adagio 125s and by coincidence or otherwise pink colour always produces. However unless you're at water level ( frustrations or similar) then theyll lose the action.

however ritcher plugs are half the price and do the same thing imo ive had more luck with tailor around kalbarri on rapala stickbaits if the tailor are going nuts then yeah poppers and plugs will work but a stickbait will always outfish poppers imo

great casting

the GT Icecreams can launch a mile, have only used a few times but nabbed a good 65cm tailor at yanchep, in saying that though have had good results on the richters too....
the single assist hook is great though.

Richters are awesome, they cast far and you can let them sink or just crank along the surface. Keep your rod tip pointed up for best action depending on conditions. Ive got Yellowtail kings, tuna salmon and tailor on them. Cant see why the Icecreams would be any different.
