Gun laws again seem to be on the radar!
I havent caught the full story of whats been going on in the real world as i'm working in the Pilbara atm but it seems like the gun laws are again being debated.
I am so sick of wankers that think gun ownership is some sort of taboo thing and we're all nutcases because we have them.
Responsible lisence holding gun owners for the most part do the righty.
The dickheads will always be able to access an illegal gun if they try hard enough.
I dont view my rifles/shotty to be any different to the golf clubs or surf boards or fishing rods i have.
They are just part of me and my upbringing.
I hope if they try any funny business that people again jump off the major parties and this time jump on the fishing and shooters party like they did for One nation.
It seems the only way to get common sense back in this country is to speak with you're feet and give the two majors the flick.

Fishers and shooters party
If you want some one to have a close look at any proposed amendments to the firearms act then this is the only (repeat) party that will do so.
It is well known that the labor party is anti gun ownership as is the libs and the greens.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if a big change in the firearm ownership laws is on the cards with an election coming up, I mean what else can the current government beat the drum about.
Law and order, every election both of the major parties beat the same old drum.

From what I heard, there's going to be another amnesty for people to hand in unlicensed firearms as well as stiffer penalties to anyone caught selling illegal guns

Gun laws again !!!!
l am a member of Sporting shooters association of Australia in short SSAA who are dedicated to all in the shooting ferternity .... They track and defend all accusations from the media and politicians with facts not some crap that is what they want you to believe ...... I just caught on radio yesterday that a female politician ( missed her name ) that she wanted to ban all semi auto hand guns in line with what Johnny Howard did with the rifles ..... I did the right thing and handed my semi auto shotgun and my high capacity magazines for my semi auto hand gun .... Now I find it hard to compete in overseas competitions and I have to borrow equipment ....
this makes it hard to train for competitions in short she wanted to make a statement in parlement .....

Its actually a good point there made with the 180,000 members...
Can i ask what does membership cost for the SSAA?
I've never really shot at clubs apart from the odd clay.
Nothing pisses me off more than listening to uneducated ( in the gun dept ) city slickering vote grabbing grubby politicians trying to scare monger the greater population....

Yeah an amnesty coming up,
Yeah an amnesty coming up, good time to get a lot of old and unwanted firearms out of the system. As a city slicker I'd love to one time head onto a property and shoot some feral animals. But I know getting a licence or an opportunity is akin to my ultimate dream of being a commercial pilot. In another lifetime maybe

There is plenty of ferals
You don't have to get out of Perth to find a lot of feral animals that need shooting, unfortunately they are all a protected species now it seems.
