Read in Western Angler a while ago that Hal was diagnosed and fighting cancer. Haven't heard much since, wondering if anyone knows how he's going? Met him a few times, top bloke, hopefully he's winning the battle.

Not 100% sure
But I did enquire about the same thing a while ago with the guys at bluewater. Apparently went through a real rough patch some 12 months ago but seems to be on the mend and travelling a lot better nowadays.
