Hale road reef system

Hi
Hit the 'hale road reef system' today (for the first time). Got busted off by something big on the snapper gear, so must have been something decent, maybe a big sambo. Usual wrasse and junk.
Managed this KGW, and also a PB at 58cm.
KGW is waiting patiently wrapped in foil at the moment!
Cheers,
Alex

Nice kg, what time did you
Nice kg, what time did you get out there? I head out to that area pre sunrise for pinks and dhus, plenty of good ground, sun up means wrasse skippy and sambos.
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

We were probably out there
We were probably out there fishing by about 730am, so not super early.
You are right, plenty of wrasse kicking around.

Nice junk.
Perhaps the big run will surface next time. Thx for the photo.

Always the way though, the biggest fish ends of on the smallest rod. You win some you lose some.
