Hillaries 4th sept 10

Venturing north from my locacl southern ground is becoming fairly productive. Plans were to chase tunas but with 8 fish before 830 we changed plans and headed for some barges. Plenty of amberjacks to 10kg, sambos, small snapper, finks, and huge skippy. Moved inside to the outside edge of the bank. Queenies, breaksea, cutttlefish and a little dhuy.
A couple of southern rights swum right under the boat and we finishewd the day off with a 7foot tiger shark.
and 1 casualty.

Nice tuna!
Nice tuna! Had some smoked yesterday, definately going to do that again!
Looks like the fanky claims another victim - this time an AJ.

I bottled some tuna last night
chilly oil, pepper, salt. i doubt its gonna last the week! A little time consuming though!
Boil it, lay it on racks then in the oven to dry off excess moisture then into bottle with oil and spices. Not bad either.
Yeh Conrad im keen!

Nice results Tony. Gotta be happy with that. Nice sized tuna too. Been trying to get some but unsuccessfully so far (hearing reports from the three mile out to the 30's).
The tiger must have put up quite a fight?
Chris, so you're saying you already know all the security features? Thats step one :)
