A historical question

I’m not To clued up on these sorts of things so please forgive my ignorance on such a matter, so here is my question, when shops close from what I have seen they hold a stock clearance auction, after the tackle shop Oceanside Tackle I think it was called closed last year did they hold a stock clearance auction or sale.
Just wondering as they had a huge amount of gear and I thought I may be able to get a bargain at an auction, I appreciate that is looking to get a bargain at someone else’s expense however that is the situation and not caused by any action of mine

They generally try to clear
They generally try to clear their stock before they move out of the joint so sell their stock at a reduced price and keep reducing prices until it's all gone rather than an auction so all that gear would be well gone.

I'd say some of it went back
I'd say some of it went back to the supplier, probably a creditor.

With the amount of “As new”,
With the amount of “As new”, “Never used” gear I see on the buy/sell forum for prices often more than what can often be negotiated with retailers, I wouldn’t mind betting that some gear from tackle stroes is sold on some form of consignment deal with some forum members and facebook sellers.

When Oceanside was having
When Oceanside was having their sales just as they went under they posted here that there was no high end gear left.

What!?
What!? When's Tuckeys closing down? I'm looking at moving down that way, and was feeling pretty good going from having Tackle West as my local, to Tuckeys. What are the other Tackle shops like down that way? Ive been to Tuckeys a few times during the whiting season, but not the Tackleworlds.

Totally agree there mate, I
Totally agree there mate, I only go into BCF if they have some amazing sale on (rarely), or everything else is closed. Last couple of times i was in there (for kayaking stuff), i checked out the fishing section, and they had nothing on the shelves! Tackleworld Miami will be the closest to where we are hopefully looking to move, so will be good having a quality tackle shop down there close by!

Thanks for the answers
I didn't know what the story was with Oceanside closing. Shocked to hear Tuckey's are closing, the store only changed ownership a couple of months back.
Can you tell me were you read that Tuckey's are closing they were a great shop as far as I'm concerned

Well that’s a hell of a surprise
It looks like it will only be the big corporations that will have the fishing tackle shops in Mandurah
