Home made live bait tanks

Thinking about making one out of an esky and was wondering if anybody has made one that works well? I have bought a 2 amp aerator to put in it that has suction cups on the bottom. Thanks for any help it is going in my old voyager that i have been refurbishing.

 It's not an aerator you

It's not an aerator you need, it's a water pump. An aerator only adds oxygen to the water via surface exchange. It will do nothing to keep the water quality good so you will forever be manually changing the water out unless you work out a water pump system to constantly introduce fresh water to the tank. Might as well use any old tub if you don't work out the water pump system.

Get a cheap bilge pump on

Get a cheap bilge pump on the end of some poly hose long enough to drop over the side. Fit a overflow line that will drain overboard or on deck. Keep an eye on the bream forums. The bream boys sell em as they upgrade to proper comp livewells
