torch, Gidgee and keen eyesight.
Used to get heaps in the Peel Harvery Estuary especially in Yunderup canals.
Also heaps along the shores of Geo Bay.

Yup - Gidgee
Pretty easy to spot on a dark night, just look for the blue reflection from their eyes. They have a tendency to sit in small patches of weed/vegetation to ambush prey.
If walking inshore reefs at any time, make sure you have proper footwear on. Lot's of nasties...especially at night ;-)

They are a bottom species, so your usual whiting rigs will do the trick.

Hillarys has heaps of them.
Hillarys has heaps of them. At night use a smallish hook and cast a few lines in close to the rocks (inside marina) and you should get a few. Would guess its the same for most marinas NOR

Peel used to have heaps but have had no luck for ages. Overfished I suspect. Should make a comeback I hope now the licences in the PH estuary have been bought back.
