Man he is lucky with that big boondie at the top. At that speed could have stopped him dead in his tracks! Not how I would do that.

I was being sarcastic I have fond memorys of the jump up and the amount side steps and mud flaps it has claimed over the years. Yes he is lucky was always a good way to spend a Sunday arvo watching people attempting it, amazing how many hire 4x4s could do it at brake neck speed

I know you were

Because I know you knew you wouldnt be that stupid. Crawled up there in an Effie 250 with "Nuts" and because it is so wide scraped the skirts. Wouldnt take the new Cruiser over it, but used the old Paj.

Have they changed the top rock? Some have said the Army up there had a exercise to make it safer?

 That's got nothing on

That's got nothing on Sailors Gully down south at the back of Dardanup. Probably the most rockiest, steepest tracks down there.

Cheers

Dale

Thats deceiving

the vidoe. It is certainly not very steep, but the slope on the vid makes it look easy. It is close to town and you do need at least a slight skill to navigate it. There is a big rock (or was) at the top that shift the balance and lean the car into other rocks, causing issues like damage to side skirts, plates etc. I wouldnt call it easy, but there is much hairier "runs" around. Found a few when I reconned the Rally Australia routes years ago. You would be surprised at what people would try to get near the race track for free!!!

The problem with the Jumpup is that every Yahoo in town recon they can tackle it, because there is some beautiful beaches beyond. This does cause some laughs and carnage.

Only went over twice  it 6 odd years ago. Never bothered once I had the boat.

The first vid you showed reveal that it has been altered IMO.

agree with you Cransy the beaches once you get over the jump up are world class (lets hope they stay that way) , one of the best spots in the world to cook up some snags while having a cold bevy , listening to the footy on the radio while watching the sun go down , I am home sick dam it
