Hello Everyone,
Just a quick one to say hello and to introduce myself.
Names Felix, I live round Rockingam.
Me and a mate are out in the sound or off 5 fathom couple of times a week in his beat up old 5m tinnie. Been doing this for a few months now (since he got his boat) and have had a lot of success with Herring & KG's. Not much big stuff yet though.
Looks like you guys have a pretty healthy community going on here!
Not gunna beg for spots or such (at least not yet). But we would like to hook up with some guys experienced in the area around the sound/rocko/mandurah for a beer and a chat. So let me know if you are keen. Email is .
We are gunna try 5 fathom again tomorrow. Anyone else going out?
Laters.

Hi Felix
Hi Felix, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll hook up with a bunch of people who can give you all the advice you need. I fish down there regularly, but I'm in a similar situation, doing OK on the KG's, Skippy, Herring etc and just looking to take things to the next level.
Good luck, hopefully see you out there sometime.

Hi Guys how far out you going
Hi Guys how far out you going to get KG , ive been into sound about half dozen times over last month and only hooked into some kgs once of back of point peron , not asking for your spots but some depths advise as to where there hiding would be helpful,
not sure if my 4.5 half cab will get out to FF would love to hook up with others just as a safety precaution or to build up my confidence

2m+
Been getting mine anywhere from under 1m to around 8-10m, all inshore spots. Best producing area has been in around 2m. No real bigguns, best around 38cm, but have been a few nice fat ones.

Thanks for the reply guys
Hello All
Went out on fri but only stayed for 15 mins. Weather was shite and mate (skipper) got seasick, so still so fish offshore for me.
We have been getting KG's off the flats around carnack mainly. In shallow water. These have all been quite small, few cms over limit.
We have had a few monsters (biggest at 57cm) in the deeper stuff off the point of garden island.
Im pretty keen to find some skippy. Had a couple while fishing for Herring but nothing repetable. Any tips?
Cheers
Felix
