I dont suppose you weighed it did you?
Years ago we caught a heap but there was one stand out.
We thought this has got to be close to the record as it was significantly larger than the good size ones we were catching.
We kept it aside and when we got back to town threw it on the kitchen scales and couldn't beleive it was 100 grams lighter than the state record.
Have caught some huge herring in the Wilson inlet (Denmark). When the inlet closes, they get trapped inside. They swim around, eating everything in sight, getting fatter and fatter. Never weighed any though. Tasted like crap...
