Hummingbird Technical Help

I have sent off a email to Hummingbird but though there might be some tech savvy hummingbird gurus out there
i recently tried to use my new hummingbird gps/sounder
I could only change the views between optional GPS views and could not get any Sonar views
have I missed something simple with set up?

I have a humminbird - depending what series you have, do you have a view button?
if you do push it in different directions to view all modes.

I do have a view button but it just scrolls through different gps type views

I've got the 798 , just
I've got the 798 , just plugged it all in when I installed it and it was good to go , all options for gps / sonar views were available .. then just selected favourites on the lower 3 buttons .. I don't think there is any sonar off selections , so maybe just double check your tranny plug is connected properly . Can't personally think of anything else that could cause the issue .. unless it's just faulty .

On mine you can turn off the
On mine you can turn off the sounder (which prevents the views from coming up when cycling when you press "View"). Theres also a bit in the menu where you can customise which screens show when you cycle (so make sure they're not turned off there either).
I use the 3 fav buttons too. I picked ones spread out so i can press one or two buttons to get access to about 5 views I like most.
