Jigging Master Gear

Hey guys,

Was recently out with a charter off the Gold Coast (local boat 'chaos') and was surprised with the abundance of jigging options we had - from pearl perch, to amberjack, kings and even some nannygai in 200 meters. I initially jigged with a daiwa dogfight and jigging master 400g rod and rod the reel to have too high ratio so switched to the new PE 6 jigging master reels straight off the boat from the boys in taiwan. Was ABSOLUTELY STOKED at how these reels performed...outperformed my 4000L set up and saltiga 40!!! he also had the PE 4 models matched to 250g rods which were terrific for the 85 meter stuff. We jigged the PE6's on the new 3 kings rods - soft taper like a 300gm but loads up like a 500 - truely a credit to the guy at JM....we ended up with over 20 kings, all around 10kg, 7 AJ's, one tipping 27kg (though caught on a livie) and heaps of nanny's.

The skipper orders most of his gear overseas and was unable to tell me of any dealerships here where i would find a good range of JM gear? I would also love it if someone had one of those 3 kings blanks for me to roll my own custom on...

 Cheers,

Scott

Thanks for the insight fellas,

I have placed a few enquiries in the past with both companies and they dont have the supplies i'm after. Apparently new stock is coming soon but have not yet been informed.

Would love to get round your way to have a go at those samsonfish....might have to take a few more boxes of 'harden the 'f$%k up' though as the following day i felt like a cripple. I suppose going from catching snapper and jew to jigging all day in deep water will do that to you....

Supply Of Jigging Master Gear

Thu, 2009-10-08 09:22

G'day Scott,

Great to hear you got among some good fish. As you probably are aware, jigging master is considered one of the most reputable jigging brands going around. After a recent trip to NZ, I was lucky enough to get into contact with Pony from JM and after testing their products extensively, I was that impressed wit the gear i acquired the distribution rights to JM and am currently in the process of setting up an on-line business that will contain a good portion of the jigging master range. I also have a few limited edition PE 4 reels coming and some 3 kings rods including blanks. Check out the website at www.huntingfishingandcamping.com its a work in progress but getting there slowly (put this one in the bookmarks section boys). Should have stock in approximately 2 weeks. Please post any questions you have regarding any of there rods, reels, gimbals, jigbags ect and i will be more than happy to help you out. Prices will be approximately 5-10% on top of the RRP cost on the JM website to factor in freight and import duties. At the end of the day, 5% is better than 75-100US for shipping an individual rod over.

Please feel free to email me direct thru the website or PM me thru the forum.

Thanks fellas,

Seeing as you mention its

Seeing as you mention its work in progress, here are a couple of tips.

I got bored before I finished the reel listings, so why don't you show more than 5 products at once? Its nothing short of tedious clicking through 25 products 5 at a time. The only sites that do that are ones that want to get a lot of banner impressions.

Your right sidebar is a waste of time, and your left one isn't full. Can't help but think you couldn't just have one and show more product, after all, its what people visit the site for.

Zen cart is ok, its a bit off the pace but its reliable.
