Jigging with stupid gear

Everseen how far can you go with that 3'6" rod you see in tackle store for like $40???? Here you go. Matched to a TD Sol 2500 and 10lb Matrix Pro. Fish landed varies from 40cm babies to 8kg rat sambos and ambos.......and I only lost one to crossing lines.

Past 45 degrees

Mon, 2006-10-09 23:35

G'Day Streetfighter,

High sticking is when your fighting a fish and you lift the rod past 45 degrees during the pump. The further you go past 45 degrees the more likely you are to break the top section of the rod.

This is more a problem for graphite rods. The old ugly stik you can almost go to 180. Hehehe.
