Just be careful if using South Passage
Particularly if a decent swell running and low tide - evil bloody place to make a mistake. Fishing is however amazing, honestly you do not need marks, head out to the 50's and tonnes of ground and fish everywhere. Some great opportunities for deep drop as the shelf comes in much closer than on other parts of the coast and heaps of snapper on 100 metre line drop off

Give the back of the reef a go in 20 odd meters. Its only 2/3 mile out and usually produces a medium size dhu. Good option if the wind is up.

I've personally experienced
I've personally experienced the southern passage in big swell where a wave stood up out of no where in front of us resulting in air time and a snagged craypot.
Fishing wise I headed out due west to 50-70m and was good fishing. Charter boat even pulled up a few hundred metres away from our drift.
