going jurien bay on saturday for a week

fishing for the whole week all land based

what should i be targeting?

rigs?

baits?

spots?

 

any help would be much appreciated

mate, the easiest and funnest way, from what i have found is to go down to the main jetty 2hrs before sunset and baitcast mulies, you'll pick up a heap of tailor, some are undersize so they have to go back, but i have got them up to 50cm and they go hard on bream gear. it can get pretty packed though and alot of people keep undersize fish.

there is also some big sharks, rays, sambos, mulloway and even pinkies patrolling the area, so you are in with a chance of a big ooglie.

if you go down to the marina ,out on the end of the groyn you can get some awsome catches,i have seen some good results the best being a 25kg sambo and heard they can get some monster pinkys as well

i was there last month with a fishin club and i caught my bag limet of skippy bag limet of taylor and 2 flathead and 2 mulloway what i would do is depends how long u r fishing 4 i fished from 1 pm on sat 2 9 am on sun and 2 people went though 12 kg of pilchards use a taylor rig and thats all u need the skippy will take that 2 with the mulloway go 2 the e shed and catch fresh slimy macks and take them up there or scaly macks work 2

oh and i fished at sandy cap about 15 km north of jurien
