Kalbarri

So we have had a 2 week trip to Kalbarri for a long time now, but due to the recent rain around we have been told that the goyges are flooding and the river will more than likly turn brown.

so firstly if anyone is planning to go there in the coming weeks keep that in mind.

2nd what would be some other family friendly places up north.

we have a boat 4 adults and 2 little kids Ages 1 and most 3

Thanks

We were up there a over Xmas/Year and river was brown then.

Depends on how far north you are prepared to go. Coral Bay is great but a long trip and best to take 2 days if towing a boat. Dongara (Seaspray Caravan Park) is another great place for family as right next to the beach and marina not far away for launching the boat.

Really just means that the kids won't be keen to swim in it. This flush turned up really quickly, more likely than not"  local" water from not far inland. There could be a lot more coming from further in, due to the heavy rains in there. It takes quite a while to get down, and is hard to rpedict heights, as it has a lot of hole and floodlpain filling to do on the way to us.

You have a nice beach or two, even when the wind  is in at Dongara. The Irwin river was flowing quite well when I drove over it a week ago, did it break through to the sea?
