just a question for you boys up north ... how the hell do you manage to pay your rent ??
had a job opertunity crop up today so i did a little looking around and the rent is so high im not sure it would be worht the effort ....
but im trying to find a way to go so i can drag the boat up there and go fishing with you lot :P

Agree, the rents average from $1500-$2500 per week it is a rip off.
I had a few mates sharing a 4 bedroom house they were out constructon pulling 200k a year so the 350 each a week rent they were paying didnt worry them too much in a share house

bunk in college style with as many people as you can humanly stand to live with, get company supplied (camp) / company subsidised housing.
You could always buy a caravan and live in the caravan park as well - plenty of people do that. Although I'd go nuts personally.

I know we have 20+ rentals in Karratha at the moment which are shared with some employees and PM's etc get there own.
Costs currently i think we pay between 1500 - 2200 a week.
