Karratha Tips

 Hey Guys,
Working up at Karratha and after having very little luck shore fishing on our RDOs we are going to hire a boat this sunday and head out and hope for the best. Any tips/direction on where we should be heading? We've only got small 15lb spin outfits so nothing crazy, thinking trevally, queenies and maybe tuna?
Certainly not after GPS coords but any advice on general area would be much appreciated.
Cheers,

Heaps of Queenies in and around the islands everywhere you go , just flick around Rocky spots on island edges and you'll find them, usually will have some trevally cruising around in similar areas :)

Good advise there, head around the islands, Enderby or Malus and go for queenies and trevs.  Keep a squid jig handy too....

southern tip of Angel island

southern tip of Angel island always turns up big blue lined emperor in 9m of water, just before the drop off towards the pipeline. the northern side of west lewis has a few reefs running along it and are worth a drift and there has been bait busting up inside mermaid sound and some small tuna are a chance along with the queenies, macks and trevally. it's worth a cast around the moorings and channel markers too.

Between the iron ore jettys and angel island I occasionally see schools of tuna and mackeral, often with big sharks though.
