Hopefully I can get some usefull info here, I'm after some info on catching some big kgw out from point peron or closer to rotto ,I don't know what ground to look for or preferred depths its a fish that's on my to catch list cheers Daniel

There is no simple answer.
Some months of the year you can get them in close in sand patches to 45cm length. The bigger ones can be found leading up to a reef patch in the 30 to 40m depths in the area you described. Have seen people post hear abouts NOR spots can produce 45cm plus fish very close to shore in the sand patches.

I read somewhere, about using the long gulp sand worms, the whole worm on a hook, the big kg will take the lot, but I dunno I'm just repeating what I've read, also my brother lives down in Albany and he has said a few times, if there is no action within 15 mins he will move, said they're either there or they're not, but when they're there you'll know.
