Land based overhead combo

Would this suit for one?
As you can see I don't want to spend to much money.
It would be mainly used for ballooning by the way.
If anyone has any other very cheap suggestions please list.

Very hard combo price to beat.
That is a very tight budget indeed. I would be very surprised if any combo could beat that price. If you do get it remember it will last much longer than you expect if it gets good grease internally before use, and it won't be much chop on the beach without carefully servceing after each trip.
Plenty of line capacity and great drag for price.
Look forward to the fish pics.

My outfit
what overhead reel you planning on putting on the ugly stick? And balooning where? Depends if you need the extra length my outfit is a tld25 and a live fibre rlf14 8ft 24kg overhead rod with low mount. If off jetty or calm beaches cheap 6ft beach rod will do

Hey mate, I have a TLD 25
Hey mate, I have a TLD 25 matched to a Beastmaster 15-24kg. It seems to do fine and handles the big fish. My TLD holds just over 600m of 50lb braid with 100m of 100lb mono on top of that so it has decent line capacity if you pack it on tight. If you want to spend a bit more money than I would suggest a Tyrnos 30 or 50 matched to a landbased game. The TLD 25 combo is a bit more expensive but it will deffinetly do the job fine. Mine has been dragged through sand, been towed behind a kayak through the sand and water (paddling baits out when the drag locked up and rod cam flying ut of rod holder and reel went for a swim through the sand) and it will last you a while. Would deffinately consider the TLD 25 but if I had the money I would definatly go toqards the Tyrnos 50 on a landbased game, just personal opinion.

when i first got intrested
when i first got intrested in fishing i had a look at those combo's with that price range and i ended up going with the abu garcia one all i can say is that it was the biggest waist or time and money i now have a trynos 30 matched to a 9foot live fibre lbg rod but as you said if your looking at the cheaper ones i wouldnt go there i would rather save my money abit longer for tld comobo that bcf and some other tackle stores offer otherwise if your keen to get one soon then i would go for a second hand tld and rod
