Landbased ballooning/slide baiting,

Hey fello fishwreckers, i was wondering if any could share past experience on ballooning, i have ballooned plenty of times with helium for mackies at places like steep point, kalbarri, but i tried on the weeknd with the stiff easterly off the beach with five normal size party balloons and squid rattling float, it drifted a whole mullet out very well  but obviosley was drifting not acting like a skip bait, has anyone had success using this method? And if any one could share light on what i need for slide baiting? Do i need to be well elivated? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Cheeers.....

Slide Baiting

Stano I too have ballooned off Kalbarri the key to skip baiting is the rig, a lot of trial an error on the day in the conditions getting the correct distance between leaders and swivel, I would strongly suggest buying the very very large fishing balloon they are like like $6 each but them full of helium could lift a small child of the beach this will definitely help with speed and lift therefore more skip.

Anymore info pm me.

Yes stano I have had success with just drifting a bait out underneath balloons.  Just be aware that it may get picked at, so use a bait that will last.

I only use 2-3 party balloons for this rather than a large helium balloon.  The smaller balloons get out quicker and easier
