Low sulphur diesel was made
Low sulphur diesel 50ppm was made standard in 2005 I believe. I believe the standard now is Ultra low sulphur at 10ppm.

sounds pretty weird. Didn't
sounds pretty weird. Didn't think there were any benefits (apart from emissions) to running low sulphur diesel. (but could be wrong)
thought there were just detriments to the actual engine ...IE the refining process of removing sulphur eliminates some of the lubricating effects.
I have a tractor at home I run 1:200 low ash 2 Stroke mix in and the results so far have been encouraging.
Quieter starting and running etc.
Wanted to run it in the Navara but have a DPF so still undecided. (the low ash is prob OK though considering what the EGR does)

Pump is fine
I have a background working for several diesel engine OEM's and excavator manufacturers. Pump diesel will be fine. Don't run the ethanol blended bio mixes though.
Cheers,
BD.

10 ppm diesel, know that BP
10 ppm diesel, know that BP sells it, I did the G10 upgrade at BP Kwinana a few year back and its law that diesel must be G10.
