hahaha, I know the feeling.  I felt the same when I got my gen 3 but now almost a year later I love it.  Hang in there mate, read the manual and play with it.  It gets better.

I have the structure scan

I have the structure scan stuff on it but mainly use it for a gps and to run auto pilot. I run a Furuno 1kw setup for a sounder and find that superior to Lowrance.

 Structure scan and normal

Fri, 2016-07-15 21:21

Structure scan and normal transducers should not be more than 30cm apart if you want to overlay the structure image over normal image (otherwise it won't marry up) - if your not using the overlay distance is not an issue

my setup

Fri, 2016-07-15 14:41

Ive got my LSS2 transducer within about 2 inches of my TM275LH-w and haven't noticed any sort of issues with it.
My understanding is that as long as your not running a pair of trannys within the same frequency range next to each other, ya should be fine.
