Mandurah Breambos

Looking forward to getting away for Easter as I'm sure most of you are!  Heading down to Mandurah this arvo, so here's hoping the fishing turns it on for us and everybody makes the most of the top weather we've coming for the next few days.

Love fishing the waterways of Mandurah, so here's a few pics of a few Bream me and my young bloke have caught and released from the outlaws jetty on the canals!

All the best for a safe and enjoyable Easter with plenty of tight lines!

Regards

Haha, cheers mate!  Spewing the photos aren't coming up automatically though.  Yeah, had some crackin fishing at the house jetty.  Is amazing what swims through those canals.  Funny how the best fishing spot can be right under your nose sometimes!

how did we go with bream over

Tue, 2013-04-02 07:11

how did we go with bream over the easter wk end? Maylands was quality - got a couple of nice ones over the 30 cm mark with one at 35. i have a photo but cant upload it.

interesting part was we were using long shanks with Mulie, no sinker - they were just on the edge of the trench, not lingering around the over hang like usual.

Learn a new trick every day.

Tons of small in mandurah

Tue, 2013-04-02 16:21

I got loads in the cut on the eastuary side on mulies pieces and squid pieces. None on lures.

Got heaps at new traffic bridge and surrounding areas on both lures and prawns.. but nothing over 20cm.

In all must have caught well over 50-60 Bream in 2 days but nothing decent in it all.

Yellowtail in plague proportions stealing all the bait.

Easter fishing.

Only after the big ones Les!  Haha.  Yeah the Mandurah bream were plentiful, however small at Easter.  Nothing over 25cms, however the sand whiting made up for it with some solid ones around.  Kept it simple with the kids and had fun with bulk hezzas, a few good size estuary tailor, skippy and whiting.
