nice to see some crabs to the south, do you have to head far into the gulf to get them Adam i'm guessing around Learmonth will turn up a feed. Must get a feed in Nickol bay myself i think next weekend
Was there 2 Weeks back caught the limit 4 times over 4 days in an average of 6 runs, lots of big females deepish channel in front of the farm produced and the pros have their pots on the east side of the Harvey from the 4 poster up that area produced aswell.
This time of year,we normally head down past the research platform in the Harvey because they get thin up north, but last weekend, we did real bad down there. We went back to the farm and managed to get a feed , but it was hard work. I know they get harder to find after easter, but just seemed harder than I can ever recall in 30 years of crabbing there all year round.

Yep they always go back into the deeper water and spawn in the cooler months some years it is a bit later but normally about this time is the end!

Awesome run of crabs up here in Exmouth, 4 strings for our 40 boat limit on Friday and has been like that for 2-3 months.
